Rapid redevelopment continues to transform East Riverside Drive, with the latest proposed project due to bring 375 apartments along with office and retail space.
River City Capital Partners plans to break ground in the second quarter of next year on Urban East, a mixed-use project at 6400 E. Riverside Drive. The company bought the vacant tract in 2016.
In addition to apartments, plans call for 100,000 square feet of office space and 20,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space. The first apartment leases are expected to be signed 18 to 20 months after construction begins, they said.
The apartments will be split between two buildings. Units will range from 500 square feet to 1,400 square feet, with the average apartment having 850 square feet. The company said rents will be in line with nearby properties.
